Lifting Threads

Lifting Threads

Thread lifting is minimally-invasive procedure to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face, neck and body. The procedure uses dissolvable sutures under the skin. We use a large variety of different threads and techniques to achieve the best outcome depending on the client’s goals. Treatment offers impressive results and an effective alternative to surgery – without any scars, incisions or lengthy downtime.

Thread Lifting: How it works

A Thread Lift does two things; firstly, the threads cause tension in the skin that gives an immediate lifting effect. Secondly the PDO material that the threads are made of, stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin which creates firmer skin.

Patients must be assessed by a Doctor for suitability. The Thread Lift treatment exists as a non-surgical alternative to more invasive surgery.  It works best in patients with mild to moderate sagging with minimal to moderate skin laxity.

Following the procedure there will be some swelling, redness, pain, discolouration and tenderness where the threads are placed.  There may also be puckering/irregularity of the skin.

Most of these effects usually resolve spontaneously within several days after the procedure, although the tenderness to touch over the thread is likely to persist for a few weeks and is an indication of effective collagen stimulation. The puckering may last a couple of weeks and is not easy to disguise
